How it works background

Onboarding Standard

Your evidence is the profile

Complete your profile with your strongest evidence.

That single sentence is the whole job. Not "complete your profile." Not "fill in every section." Complete it with the strongest evidence you have — because evidence is what gets assessed, and evidence is what companies see.

"Don't try to make your profile look complete. Make it genuinely strong."

Your Journey

01

Create your account and verify your email

Use an address you will keep access to. Takes a minute.

02

Upload your CV

Growwr reads it and suggests your professional title, the companies you have worked for, your skills, tools and education.

Then review what was extracted. This is the step people skip and regret. Your CV and your profile should tell the same professional story — if they contradict each other, it weakens the whole profile.

03

Tell us about yourself

Professional title, years of experience, employment type, preferred work location, country and city, and any additional languages with your honest fluency level. Use a specific title. "Software Engineer" or "Product Designer" tells the matching engine something. "Consultant" does not.

04

Confirm your skills and tools

Pre-filled from your CV. Review every one. Remove anything that is not genuinely yours, add what is missing, and use the custom option if something is not in the list. Do not add skills because they sound impressive. Every skill you claim should be visible somewhere in your evidence.

05

Show us your best work

Your LinkedIn, up to three professional links, and up to ten work samples.

Callout: This is the most important section in the entire onboarding. The test for every link: if someone opens this, will they see evidence of what I actually do? Five strong samples beat ten weak ones every time.

06

Education and certifications

Add your degree history and any certifications relevant to your work.

Callout: No degree? Use the experience-first path. Provide proof of your professional experience instead. If you are relying on experience rather than a qualification, your evidence carries more weight — so make it your strongest.

07

Record your professional introduction

Between one and two minutes. Talk about what you do, what makes you stand out, the achievements and projects that matter and the impact you had.

Callout: Do not read your CV aloud. This is for the context your CV cannot carry. Then replay it before you move on — if you cannot hear yourself clearly, neither can a reviewer.

08

Review and submit

Check your Profile Strength, work through anything marked for improvement, then submit for review.

You can see how strong your profile is before we do.

As you build, Growwr shows you a Profile Strength percentage that updates in real time, and a Qualification Readiness status on each section — either ready, or flagged for improvement. Each section carries a different weight, so don't chase the percentage alone. Work through the sections. When something is flagged, use Improve This Section. It takes you straight back to what needs work.

Recurring Feedback Loop

Review → find the weak section → improve it → return → check again

That loop is how a profile gets strong. Run it until nothing is flagged.

What Screening Assesses

1

Is the evidence real?

Links resolve. Repositories exist. Work samples are reachable and attributable to you.

2

Does it match the claim?

Your stated skills and experience should be visible in the work you submitted. A senior claim needs senior proof.

3

Is the work substantial?

Scope, ownership and outcome. Shipped beats started. Owned beats contributed to.

4

Is it current?

Recent, relevant work weighs more than something impressive from a decade ago.

5

Is it communicated clearly?

Your profile and introduction should be coherent and professional. Companies read and hear this before they meet you.

How it works background
So you don't have to guess.

Common Reasons Profiles Don't Pass

  • • Skills or experience claimed with no supporting evidence
  • • Portfolio or repository links that do not resolve
  • • Work submitted that cannot be attributed to you
  • • Seniority claimed that the evidence does not support
  • • An introduction recording that is inaudible, or just the CV read aloud
  • • A profile submitted quickly with the minimum, rather than carefully with the best
If you are turned down you will be told which of these applied. You can appeal once, and you can return with stronger evidence after the cooling-off period.

What a Strong Submission Looks Like

The Engineer

Five years, three shipped products, one still in production at a fintech. She submits the repository with commit history, the architecture note she wrote, a link to the live product, and a LinkedIn that confirms the employment. Real, current, hers. Live in days.

The Designer

His portfolio is mostly concept work. He replaces it with three case studies: the problem, his process, the shipped screens, what changed after launch — plus an engineer who can confirm he designed it. Fewer pieces, stronger profile.

The Marketer

She takes the experience-first path. Published campaigns under her name, a conference talk recording, two certifications with applied work behind them, results in ranges rather than confidential exact figures. Verified without a qualification and without breaching anything.
